FESTIVAL OF WESSEX 2026 • 25 Through the Looking Glass Through the Looking Glass presents a collection of contemporary glassworks that challenge the way we view the world. Moving beyond function, we invite a deeper engagement with glass and its material qualities and processes, to consider what it reveals, distorts, and reflects. The area local to Frome is a hotbed for glass artists. The exhibition showcases a diverse range of work by skilled glassmakers and educators associated with The Glass Hub, an independent glass school in Wiltshire. Bringing together techniques including glassblowing, casting, engraving, fusing, lampworking, painting, stained glass, and neon, heritage skills are placed in conversation with contemporary practice. The works push the boundaries of glass as a material, exploring scale and control, subverting tradition, telling stories, and examining the collaboration between the artist and the glass. 27 June - 2 August: Black Swan Arts, 2 Bridge Street, FROME, BA11 1BB.
