Exhibit A March and April 2026 3 Don McCullin: Venus, Palazzo Massimo, Rome Photograph, 2022, courtesy the artist and Hauser & Wirth “ Broken Beauty includes many of Don McCullin’s most iconic images, documenting human suffering over many decades from wars in Cyprus, Vietnam, Ireland and Lebanon to the Biafran famine and the AIDS epidemic in Africa. At its core, however, are a group of recent photographs – previously unseen – of ancient Roman sculptures. For Don, they are emblems of resilience and survival which are also reminders that all civilizations ultimately come to an end. Like his images of landscapes in Somerset and beyond, creating these works has provided him with a recuperative solace after the trauma of witnessing so much horror.” DON MCCULLIN: ‘BROKEN BEAUTY’ Until 3 May: The Holburne Museum, BATH, BA2 4DB.
