Headlines 5 The Royal West of England Academy (RWA) is again inviting artists to apply for its highly celebrated annual RWA Open exhibition. This will be their 172nd annual open, a show which has previously launched and elevated the careers of countless artists over 170 years. The Open is known for its rigorous selection process, with a panel of respected artists, curators, and academics choosing the fi nal works. Past exhibitors have included Vanessa Bell and David Hockney showing alongside emerging and mid-career artists. Being open to artists at all stages of their careers, from recent graduates to professionals, makes the exhibition an exciting and dynamic mix of established and new talent, drawing in collectors, curators, and art lovers from around the UK. Applications are open to UK-based and international artists, making it a truly global showcase. Unlike many opens, the RWA welcomes submissions across all media, including painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media. The RWA Open provides artists with exposure that extends beyond the gallery walls, reaching audiences through digital platforms, press coverage, and printed materials. The prizes on offer are many and varied but all give the opportunity for winners to further their artistic career. Evolver Magazine is proud to offer two of these prizes - one being the cover image of our November / December issue and the other a feature article in the same issue, providing the perfect opportunity for us to support artists showing in the Evolver region. The collaboration has been in place since 2013 and demonstrates the strength of the relationship between the RWA and Evolver Magazine and the esteem in which the magazine is regarded, as a regional promoter of emerging and established artists. The application process is straightforward, with an online submission.
