Growing in popularity year on year, the exhibition celebrates emerging artists as well as established makers in the region, encouraging visitors to shop local and support creative talent. On Saturday 8th November Thelma Hulbert Gallery opens its doors for you to view the wealth of talent from 70 of the south west’s fi nest designer makers. Thelma Hulbert Gallery (THG) is an award-winning public art gallery in Honiton hosting an acclaimed programme of contemporary art and craft With record-breaking submissions for 2025, this year THG is proud to be showcasing more artists than ever before. Through an open call across the south west, applications were invited from makers working in a range of materials including glass, jewellery, ceramics, textiles, leather work, print and wood to highlight the quality, variety and dynamism of south west craft. The exhibition spreads throughout all the galleries at THG where installation meets visual merchandising. The team are highly skilled in the art of creating small room sets and vignettes to showcase the makers' work in the best way possible. As online shopping and next-day delivery continue to dominate the consumer experience, THG brings the joy back into shopping - encouraging you to see, touch, smell and revel in your buying experience. Many of the selected makers work to ethical processes, or with recycled or locally gathered materials, all informed and inspired by their sense of place, natural forms, local history or surrounding landscape.
