Exhibit A September and October 2025 3 Björk Haraldsdóttir: Lögberg White stoneware, black slip sgraf fi to ceramic, 45 x 63 x 29 cm ARTIST STATEMENT: “The Lögberg or Law Rock was the fi rst democratic parliament in the world, established within a dramatic faultline in Iceland. I made this monumental vessel with its wide strong base and curved tapering sides as an organic form that feels both ancient and changed by time, rather like the landscape of Iceland itself. Onto this I have draped a monochrome pattern like the surface of the Lögberg which resounded with the words of those who spoke there. In this case, I have scraped away a black slip, revealing white stoneware below.
