Sculptures emerged from old farm gate hinges and other rusty metalwork, using driftwood boards as the base for arrangements. These works have continued intermittently over the years and 2025 has seen Brian returning to make more, some featuring the three hundred plus coins, many of them foreign, that he found on Lyme Regis beach in the early ‘70s. Parts of farm wagons also feature in striking conjunction with car boot darts boards, along with painted cribbage boards incorporated with textile fragments, and so it goes on. This exhibition features just a sample of objects from Brian’s intriguing hoard made into striking and original art, and is a must see for fans of recycling and rust!
